Beaches Turks & Caicos Reviews

Beach / Pools: The beach, while very narrow, was beautiful and the water was crystal clear. We would lay in the shallow water and watch schools of fish come by. The pools were very nice. Never a problem getting a chair to lay on but we did have trouble getting a chair with an umbrella as butler service and others wake up early and leave towels on them. The towel game is played a lot by the pools. We also had trouble finding clean towels later in the day. Most of the pool's have swim up bars which was great and they were many pools in the resort so they were not too crowded. The French Village pool was closed a number of times during the week for most of the day to host a private party which I did not think was fair to the other guests.

Staff - I have never understood the level of criticism on this front. For the most part the staff was VERY helpful, friendly and entertaining. Some went out of their way for us. Sarah at the airport saved the day by locating and delivering a bag that we left behind at the resort to the airport BEFORE we checked in and within 30 minutes of our reporting it. Extremely responsive and helpful. Again Adrian from the Photo Shop proved to be a fantastic host. He not only took wonderful pictures of our family, but he also provided resort information and assistance throughout our visit. We cannot say enough about Adrian - and our toddler, who is very shy, warmed to him immediately. (Horace, Roger and Joseph of the Photo Shop also deserve kudos for their attitude and helpfulness.) The ladies in the Photo Shop were very patient with me and never tried to over sell me on any packages - they let me pick the photos I wanted and purchase what I wanted. Rita Lee in Reflections remembered us from our visit last year...impressive and made every effort to help me every morning at breakfast (and at other meals we ate at Reflections). She also paid particular attention to our daughter which was very appreciated. (Harold at Reflections also deserves a note of thanks for his attentiveness.) Tricia, the nanny who we hired for a few naptime respites, was very accommodating and helpful. The staff at the camp was also very helpful and informative. While we did not use this service as our daughter played happily at the beach with us each day, we did attend some character events there and were always welcomed and encouraged to join. Finally, we were often welcomed by passing staff and management and asked about our stay or dining experience. I felt that each person took an interest to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves and our stay. These quick exchanges were non-intrusive and welcomed.
