Reviews “Great Family Vacation”
My wife and 4 year old son visited Beaches Turks and Caicos the week of July 26th. Overall, we had an excellent time but would most likely stay at another resort next time we go to TCI.
We picked this resort mainly because we had stayed at Sandals in Negril (before kids) and had a wonderful time and we figured that because Beaches is part of the Sandals family that it would be a similar experience but in a more kid friendly place.
Resort: The resort was beautiful from the pools to the landscaping and general layout. The resort is very large (by far the largest in the area if not the island) and once the Italian Village opens it looks as if the size of the resort will double. My son loved the water park which consisted of two small water slides and a swim up bar for the kids, but the water in the pool looked a bit murky towards the end of the day. The new Italian Village water park will connect to the old one and looks to be very big. The staff was a bit apathetic but otherwise attentive and cordial. We had hoped to use the kids camp for ½ hour to hour long intervals to get some alone time but my wife was not comfortable leaving him there and my son wanted no part of it. Others that we spoke to said it was fine. The entertainment was okay, lot's of variety type shows. My son loved all the Sesame Street shows and parades. Characters - KUDOS! My daughter loves the characters and they were great with her! She cried each time they left and the characters always went out of their way to comfort her - making her feel VERY special. I would name the staff, but the identities are kept under lock and key, so I do not know who was who, but compliment them all and thank them all for making my daughter's visit so very, very special for her (and us as we love seeing her face when the characters are around or on stage). |
