It's no wonder Bermuda, a British territory, is a honeymooner's paradise. With its private hidden coves and blushing pink beaches, it's a perfect place for relaxation and romance. Though this tiny string of Atlantic islands comprises only 21 miles, there's much to see and do. Spend the days boating, golfing, shopping or swimming with dolphins. Explore crystal caves and historical museums, forts and churches. Bermuda's nightlife offers everything from fine dining to fast food, jazz clubs to Irish pubs. From May through October, lifeguards are on duty at Bermuda's most popular beaches: Horseshoe Bay, John Smith's Bay, Clearwater Beach and Turtle Beach. For beautiful pink sand and calm water, visit Elbow Beach. Snorkelers will enjoy Church Bay, John Smith's Bay and Tobacco Bay. Sorry, naturists, there are no nude or topless beaches on the island. Bermuda is romantic on its own thanks to its pink beaches, petite charm and just about perfect weather--but now there's another good reason for lovers to visit: new honeymoon and anniversary packages at Pink Beach Club. This 94-suite cottage colony in Tucker's Town is perfect for rekindling romance...and Bermuda's location near the US Northeast coast makes it an easy destination for a quick getaway.

The climate is humid and, as a result, the summertime heat index can be high, even though mid-August temperatures rarely exceed 30 °C (86 °F). Winters are mild, with average daytime temperatures in January and February around 20°C (68°F), although cold fronts, which dominate the local weather for most of the year, bring arctic air masses that can result in rapid temperature drops YOUR MISSION: Mix history with tasteful hedonism. Bermuda lays claim to beautiful beaches, fascinating historic attractions, great golf (the most courses per square mile in the world), diving and snorkeling, superb dining and cant-miss duty-free shopping (visitors can take home US$400 in duty-free goods). For what seemed like eons, a racy afternoon in Bermuda consisted of a game of croquet, but in the present tense, the game is golf. Soak up some sun! By Sugar Delight 21, 02/24/07 I love to visit the beautiful, sunny island of Bermuda because it's the perfect vacation spot. The beaches are awesome with their clear-blue waters, the music is hot, and the food and out if this world. You can relax all day and party all night at any one of many nightlife establishments. Bermuda has it's own perfume factory in the historic town of St. George where you can indulge your senses with fragrances inspired by the flowers that inhabit the island. You can shop 'til you drop in the variety of stores in the capital city of Hamilton. And for those who are interested, Louis Vuitton has a branch store here. So take the opportunity to visit Bermuda, it's an experience you'll never forget. |

She writes, "I'd been looking for a contract abroad and was offered one in Saudi Arabia and Bermuda at about the same time. I chose Bermuda primarily to experience some hot, sunny weather for a change – I was getting tired of freezing my butt off in Ireland, trudging around in rain and sleet, having also been through a stormy, inclement winter in Jersey. This, then, is my settling-in story on the lovely island of Bermuda. For me it's always been fun, exciting, and challenging; they're the things that make life good.” . | Our Man In Bermuda - Our Man In Bermuda - | By Edel Kinsella | Our Man In Bermuda - Our Man In Bermuda - Bermuda’s changed. Quite noticeably too (for expats working here) and not necessarily for the better. I did want to caution anyone who might be thinking of coming to work here that the situation here may not currently be what you might imagine it to be and although my previous article was accurate at that time, an update is definitely required. Jul/06 | The Bermuda Expat’s Survival Guide: Top Ten Things To Know Before You Sign That Contract A Canadian In Bermuda ~ | By Robert Hof | The Bermuda Expat’s Survival Guide: Top Ten Things To Know Before You Sign That Contract A Canadian In Bermuda ~ by Robert Hof - Last month, I wrote about how to remove one’s self legally from the Canadian tax system. Why did I do this? Well, late in 2003 I took the plunge and accepted an IT position in Bermuda. It has been a year of trials, tribulations, and great fun. I have made some great friends, lived a great lifestyle, and saved some money. If I had to make the choice again, I wouldn’t hesitate! Feb/05 |
